Hi guys, new to the forum. I have a 2005 MWB 313 CDI. Last night we had gear selection issues and when parking in an different place found out we had no reverse gear. It will go into forward gears just not in the right gears in the selected position. Do I fear the worst, the gearbox has gone or is this something to do with the selector linkage? Have a day off tomorrow to investigate but any tips very much welcome. Thanks

Hopefully only the linkage. Turn the ignition on select reverse and see if the reverse lights come on. That's an easy test to start off with.

As u move the lever from P to D does the display in dash change accordingly and display correct gear?
Sounds like a problem with the daft cable linkage .
