Gearbox module

Hi All

I`m new on here so please bear with me. I`ve owned for a few months now a 03 plate ML 350 and the low range light keeps flashing on the dash board when you start her up.

I`ve told that this is caused by the gearbox module which is located ( so i have been told ) under the bonnet on the passenger side of the car.

Is this correct ? And have any of you guys had any experience of this problem.

Nothing to do with the GB module.

You need a new low range motor.

There is a motor located on the transfer box. Thats the one that needs replacing.

Thanks for the reply, Is this a difficult job to do and is it expensive?
