Hi guys,
After member 'Maff' purchased his new Eurocopter he was really wanting to go all out on protections. This was going to get a serious attacking with weather, speed and UV rays. It was an instant decision to go down the full crystal lacquer route with the eurocopter, to give it the greatest most durable protection in the world. Unfortunately as crystal lacquers are still a taboo to some insurence companies they didn't like the sound of it so it was put on hold. At the moment no crystal lacquers have been boeing approved, but have been used on many private jets across the world with myself completing a couple. But for now, if that particular insurence company are not happy, well thats just how the cookie crumbles. But it was ok to still go ahead with coating the entire interior. The process for the interior was as follows.
-All plastics were degreased with surfex hd, dried and protected in swissvax matte (Including headsets)
-All seals were degreased, dried and protected in swissvax seal feed.
-All leather was cleaned with swissvax leather cleaner, dried and protected in Gtechniq L1.
-All interior plex was cleaned with megs glass cleaner.
-The entire interior was given a detailed vacuum with the all carpet & upholstery being protected with Gtechniq I1.
So hopefully I will be back to get the exterior decontaminated and protected in the full bespoke Crystal serum and 2 x coats of ExoV2. This will give well over 10 years of protection against chemical fallout, acid rain, uv rays and general weather conditons, to keep the body looking like the day it was made,
Till then.....
Kind Regards
Michael
