Hi Guys,
I completed this detail a few months ago, but only have had time to get the thread up now. Richard has his SL paint corrected by me some time ago, but decided he wanted to switch down the gtechniq protection route. So the car was bought back to be blitz and protected in the very best.
If you know this car, you will know it’s in great shape, especially as it had paint correction only a year and a bit ago prior to this detail. The usual decontamination stages including snow foam bath, 2bm wash with ph neutral shampoo, engine bay degreased and scrubbed, chemical bath and rinse off with 0 grade filtered water.
Then back inside to be dried with a 70/30 towel Inc all shuts and gaps dried with the warm air blow dryer.
Then onto a full clay bar system with mild clay and a full IPA wipe down to remove the old wax.
The car was in great shape so a single stage machine polish on the flex, lake country yellow cutting pad and Gtechniq P1.
Various shots throughout the polishing to make sure the paint was in top condition before glass coat application.
