Hi guys,

Here is a couple of shots of mbclub member Maffs Ferrari F12 Berlinetta after a single day decontamination detail. There was alot of contaminates on the exterior, so the aim was just to remove them, prep and give it a good coat of wax. Process was:

-Wheels cleaned using bilberry wheel cleaner, iron x and various wheel woolies.
-Tyres and arches cleaned with surfex hd.
-Body, grilles, shuts & gaps degreased with surfex hd and rinsed off.
-Body snow foamed using bilthammer autofoam and rinsed off.
-Body washed with CG Glossworkz. Gtechniq marino mitt for top half, optimitt for lower half using 2bm, then rinsed.
-Body treated to iron xand then washed off and rinsed.
-Re snow foamed to use as lubrication and then clayed with carpro clay pad and a velcro backing plate.
-Car completely re washed using cg glossworkz.
-Dried using 70/30 drying towel and warm air blow dryer to remove water from shuts, traps and gaps.
-Complete IPA wipedown.
-Gtechniq P2 on a 3m yellow pad on the g220 to give a light polish.
-A single coat of my 87% pure signature wax Black Magic.
-Exterior glass polished with dodojuice supernatural glass polish.
-Interior glass cleaned with megs glass cleaner.
-Shuts polished and protected wityh megs dark wax.
-Tailpipes polished with Mothers mags polish.
-Wheels pre wax cleansed with dodo juice limeprime.
-Swissvax autobahn applied to wheel fascias.
-Final wipedown with Zaino Z8.

Another very nice example!

Out of interest what dilution of IPA should you use to clean residuals off before applying LSP?

Next stupid question...how should the IPA solution be applied? Spray on and wipe off with MF or spray and hose down before drying?

Hi You should be using 30% ipa/70% water. Spray small amount onto panels and wipe with a quality microfibre. It will evaporate clay sling and remove old fillers and cheap polishes used prior to yourself cleaning it:)

Cheers for that should really keep a note of dilution ratios somewhere as will forget! Have Carpro PERL mixed to 3 different strengths for different jobs and IPA for glass.
