Genuine 190E AMG Kit !!!

Been trawling through anything 190E basically & came across this piece, very rare & interesting & has the AMG stamp in all the right places.

Might be of interest to someone with a standard-ish 190E who is looking to modify but wants an alternative to the much common Cosworth kit.

Will look really retro 80's cool!...And cant be bad at that price.

Too spendy, because it's incomplete and it's not the sought-after AMG kit (which would be AMG Gen 2 with ducktail).

IIRC, that auction has run and run and run and run and ...

Whats missing thats making it incomplete?

I can see that theres no bootspoiler, but both skirts & front+ rear bumpers are all there....

Exactly - the boot spoiler! Leaves you trying to find the right one (and having to do the research to make sure you DO get the right one). I sold one about 3 weeks ago for £80.

FWIW, the easiest way to get the more desirable AMG Gen 2 kit is to wait for one of the no-MOT 2.0l 190s with the kit to come along - several have cropped up on Ebay in the last few months, and the sellers rarely realise what they have.

All depends on weather you want a bootspoiler.. I prefer the clean look personally...depends on how far you want to go with it.

A kit like this can be put on without the bootspoiler, whereas if one of the skirts or bumpers were missing, it really would be incomplete!

I bought a Gen2 AMG kit for my Cabriolet without a ducktail (nor do i have any intention find one), if i decide to sell today, I wont be selling it as incomplete, nor will the ducktails absence put off potential buyers, but if a one of the skirts or spoilers were missing it would be another matter.

I have been taking pics all the way as I been collecting the bits & adding bits to the car like the suspension.

I think im just goona put them all up in chronological order once its all done, rather than do a 'work in progress' thread, as im afraid mine has taken a enternity & makes Jaymanaks widebody project look quick!...
