Has anyone had experience of this Ebay seller who is based in Germany http://search.ebay.co.uk/w210_W0QQs...tionZcompareQQcopagenumZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch

It looks like some of the UK based E-bay sellers source their parts from this guy then sell them on for a profit? Seems it may be worth cutting out the middle man and buying direct (p&p is 12 euros (£8.30) but you can consolidate orders and only pay one p&p charge)

Example is W210 rear lights for 120 euros (£79.35), same price on a UK seller site £135.00 + p&p http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10398&item=4530992848&rd=1 (3rd style shown)

Also does anyone know the genuine MB part no.s for the rear (facelift 98-99) lights just so I can find out how much the genuine parts are to make a cost comparison? Thanks in advance

But these aren't genuine MB parts.

A full OEM set from a UK dealer is about £120

I guessed they were not genuine MB but at a £50 saving I am not too concerned? The only other option is to find a set of a salvage/damaged E class and I I suspect I won't have much luck in that dept either! :(

If anyone has the part no.s for the lights I am after I would really appreciate it though?

Are these aftermarket lamps marked up correctly for UK road use?!?

Hmm - for less than £40 difference, plus the cost of shipping/handling, combined with any risks (probably be lucky, but you know the situation - damaged lamp in transit etc) - i'd be tempted to buy them OEM myself.

At least you are certain of the quality. ;)

Give Ricky (V12) a try.

Classic/Elegance

A2108203364 : tail lamp fender (L) : EUR 60.34
A2108203464 : tail lamp fender (R) : EUR 60.34
A2108203764 : tail lamp trunklid (L) : EUR 45.98
A2108204064 : tail lamp trunklid (R) : EUR 45.98

Avantgarde

A2108208164 : tail lamp fender (L) : EUR 60.34
A2108208264 : tail lamp fender (R) : EUR 60.34
A2108208564 : tail lamp trunklid (L) : EUR 45.98
A2108208864 : tail lamp trunklid (R) : EUR 45.98

The catalogue lists different versions for LHD/RHD but gives the same part number for each anyway, might be a historical thing.

I have just ordered a new grill for my W202 from a seller called mb_tuner from Germany. It has nearly been 10 days and nothing has arrived yet!

I'm starting to worry a little bit.

Thanks for responses, I think the 210 euros puts pay to me going that route (at least for now) will try the Ricky V12 option (I assume he is a breaker or can get hold of parts from one????) cheers, Nick

I'd estimate about £150ish for those parts brand new.

What you should have done is allow for a modding budget when choosing the car ;)

Ah so right :o

Shude, could you do me a massive favour, could you let me know the part no. for the Avantgarde grille (pre 99) genuine MB, I have a couple of friends in the motor trade so am hoping they may be able to help me out?????

BUT I suspect that is just the black plastic shell, no chrome on it. The chrome bits are about £2 each though, need 11 of them. I think the total from MB is about £100. You'd need to keep your existing chrome surround.

Eek, sounds complicated, I am thinking the Ebay/ECP route may be better for this piece of modding! Although just checked ECP and they only show the post 99 part so may not be able to go that route either!!!

It's not complicated at all, you just need all the bits and they slot together :)

I have quoted some part numbers and prices before but I am still unsure as to whether they would actually work properly. I might buy all the bits myself and make a spare grill.

OK, may give this a go if I don't get lucky elsewhere, I didn't realise V12 was mercman as I dropped him a mail last night to see if he could help, never know my luck!

Hi Shude, being cheeky again but I have seen an OSR rear light for W210 but the part number is listed as PART NUMBER 2108204464 which differs just slightly from the ones you posted above? Any chance you could check and see whether this is just a typo or if it is a slightly different model/year?
