Getting a hard time over a green car

When I opened this thread I thought someone had bought a hybrid car ('green' as in ecological!)...........

I had a great passion for the Lotus Carlton which was green (although nearly black admittedly). BRG looks 'right'....but only on the right car (MGB as mentioned already).

Generally green was considered unlucky, but that seems to be the case for the 'older' driver. I'd prefer green to beige though, which thankfully hasn't made a comeback.........yet...........

And statistically insurers will tell you green cars have the most accidents..........

I also found this link from the Admiral Insurance Group;

http://www.admiral.com/contactUs/pressOffice/pressReleases/150306.php

mmmm. Anyone got any other accident stats. I got black being the worst for accidents from Autocar magazine some time back.There was some discussion whether some companies were loading premiums for it.

This report has put me off buying another black car...

http://www.monash.edu.au/muarc/reports/muarc263.pdf

"In daylight black cars were 12% more likely than white to be involved in an accident. At dawn or dusk the risk ratio for black cars jumped to 47% more likely than white"

On the other hand silver and black do badly here

Didn't mean to buy green, but all the others were silver. My last car was a 5 Series estate in.......
......dark green
