Went to have a look at my car today. It's starting to look like it should. :)

The body panels have now been replaced, and the new style bumpers look great (even in primer grey). Next step is the painting. They're also fixing a couple of door dings I hadn't noticed! :bannana:

Saw my new wheels - they're high sheen finish. My old ones are matt silver. They offered to paint the new ones matt silver to match.....so I went a bought two new wheels :D

My wallet is currently in intensive care.

Expect to see two SLK alloys for sale soon. One front, one rear.

Haven't driven anything for 40 days now. It's killing me. Not only am I dreaming about driving but I dreamt I crashed my car again the other night. Really freaked me out. Quite sad I suppose.....

Blimey, I just presumed you had it back by now. Has there been a delay with the insurance or parts?

Seems like a very long time to get it repaired.

Bit of both. A "break down in communications" within insurance company meant a delay in authorisation, and I had to wait on a panel to get delivered from Germany.

I can't wait to see the pics of how she looks with the new face lift bumpers :) Not long now Simon :D
