GL320 (x164) airmatic problem

I'm at a loss at my new gl
The air suspension compressor is not cutting in
I've got a fault code 5400 which is a faulty compressor
But I've put 2 second hand ones on and still got the fault code But there is no power going to the compressor if I jump the relay the compressor powers up and rises and lowers the car the valves all seem to be working ok
All the wires look fine no corrosion or disable breaks
I have got a star machine but it's not getting me any further
I think it might be the ecu but I am clutching at straws

Any help would be very much appreciated

So I've found out that there is no power going to pin 86
On the relay does anyone know if the air suspension module controls this operation ?

Just an update if anyone's interested the reason for no power to pin 86 was the fuse box /front Sam I believe the part number is wrong someone must of put it in after the crash to start and move the car
(As I bought it off a salvage aution)

the wire from the air suspension module to the relay Is not connecting within the unit
I've ordered a front Sam and hopefully it will cure my issues

Fitted the front Sam today and the suspension fired into life
So pleased this had me scratching my head but perseverance a little knowledge and a dash of luck
Got me driving a fine car today
