GLA 200 remap

As above I am looking to get my GLA200 remapped to give it more power as atm it feels like it's lacking power, I'm not after anything major it has 136 BHP I believe I have seen quantum remap will take it to about 215bhp it states but that is a massive gain I would be happy with what the 220 engine has 170bhp.

Can anyone recommend somewhere around Newcastle upon Tyne I could go for the work to be carried out?

I think 215bhp sounds very optimistic.. I assume it's turbo if so some good gains mid range to be had.

I can't recommend anyone in the NE to map... I'm sure someone in your location can point you in the right direction.

Thanks yea I was thinking 215 is massive for a stage 1, i hope so I don't just want to go anywhere and end up with a bad 1.

I have spoke with btg performance near me about a viezu my model needs the ecu removed to do the job too, if no other reccomendations I have used these before for a revo remap on my Leon so I trust them just didn't know they done Mercedes too they said I will get 180bhp and and 410nm that's an increase of 45bhp and 110nm torque.

I would be happy with what the 220 engine has 170bhp.

Bear in mind that the 220 has a significantly bigger engine (2.1 litres, as opposed to 1.6 in the 200).

Mine is 2.1 engine pal it's 2.154 or something daft like that

Ah, OK - the GLA 200 (petrol) is 1595 cc ... the GLA 200 CDI (diesel) is 2143 cc. Both are turbocharged, so would be decent candidates for remapping.

So yes, the power/torque figures from the 220 CDI would be a good target for a 200 CDI It's quite likely the engines are identical apart from the map.
