I predict this car will outsell its A CLASS cousin in the UK if they price it sensibly. An MB crossover/mini 4x4 for the masses with aspirations---- what's not to like! It has the potential to follow in the footsteps of Nissan's Qashqai which has been a huge market success if Mercedes UK resist the temptation to " overcook it"

Here's the video! Interestingly they show it being driven by a woman- perhaps with the subliminal message that MEN should be seen driving the M CLASS???? or that's its a 4x4 women would be happy to drive? the last Glk was initially targeted at the female market in America with its SEX in the CITY product placement.

Hmm...I'm probably wrong but I don't see this being very popular in the UK. The women we know who drive 4x4's do so for the command driving position - they like to look down on "the little people". The shot of the woman driving this car has her sitting so low that the window line is at her jaw level.

I don't see it against the Qashqai - it'll be way more expensive. Of course, Mercedes may do their very low cost PCP/lease deals which could make a difference to those who live their lives by how much the monthly cost is.
