My wifes GLA is 4 1/2 years old 31K miles and running on Contisport 5 235/50/18 tyres which still have a decent amount of tread. Tyres manufactured a few weeks before the car.
The problem is that the ride is very hard on country roads, when I am in the car it's very hard on my arthritic neck. Its not too bad on a motorway. This is to the extent that it cayses me pain. Tyres are maintained at recommended pressures.
My E350 had the same tyres and I replaced them with PS4's which transformed the ride in every way.
PS4's are not available in the size for the GLA.
I am thinking that the tyres have gone a bit hard with age and lost their suppleness. Due to Covid our cars have done little mileage in the last 2 years, I have never before had tyres 4 1/2 years old, worn out before that!
I'm wondering about Premacy 4's Price is not the deciding factor.
Any suggestions?
