Car
cl203 C220 Sports Coupe
Prefrably a set of interlocking glass fibre poles that will extend to 10m or around 30 foot and when put down will fit in the back of my W203 sport coupe. (Lengthwise or widthwise).

I need to get hold of these so that I can errect HF wire antennas when "hiltopping" with Ham radio kit.

Anything will do, fishing poles etc but it must be non conductive....Now is the time to get rid of that old kit whilst ensuring it goes to a good home and will actually get used.

Of course, if you happen to have a spare wind up antenna mast I'd be interested in that too along with old Ham or CB radio gear and antennas.

Thank you in advance.

Nothing to sell or give away I'm afraid but I can recommend the 'Pro Heavy-Duty' telescopic poles from these guys. I have the 8.5 and 10m ones and they are great ... excellent quality and super quick to put up/take down (the only thing that takes any time is banging in the ground stake):

Flag-Poles - Life's a Breeze

Their standard duty ones are cheaper and lighter/more flexible but might work ok for you.

I have three short wave radio receivers 1 Yasu Frog7 and 2 Trio R9 59D all need work but they do switch on and work in a way ,.Ideal for projects ,..manual with the Frig7 i did have had a new set of 16 capasitors fitted to Frog7 , Trio comes with and new set of valves and printed schematic diaram .I purchased these one at a time over the winter last year ..But other than do a little soldering and cleaning in side i am out of my depth ..

Holy Cow, these were early 70's receivers if t'internet search and vintage radio site is correct.
No tiny surface mount electronics in there that older person eyes cant focus on, thankfully.
I think they'll be way outa my price range, Yaseu always commands big money because of the name and quality. They'd both certainly make ideal projects to learn the basics from though.

Wifi is much easier these days.....

Kianok you are absoloutly right, but...it's a little too easy!
Also, it can be hard to find a decent wifi signal on a hill in the country.

I once opened a wifi box up, just for fun/out of interest and its full of tiny components mounted presumablyby a computer controlled robot. No chance I could get my old soldering iron and shaky hands in there to attempt any fixes or mods.

Thanks though, you made me laugh buckets. :) ;)
