W204 c250 cgi facelift petrol 2011
I'm looking to purchase a 2018 GLC 250 petrol which has the m274 engine.

From researching online there appears to be some major issues with this engine :(

Does anyone know if the issues are still outstanding with this engine or have they been resolved with this model year?

What problems has your research discovered?
I ran a C180 for nearly 6 years and 40k miles with only an issue with the thermostat (relatively common and as already mentioned in the other thread you posted on) and a leak on a fuel line (a part revised by MB in 2014).
But then maybe I am lucky; I ran a BMW with the N43 engine (reputedly "the worst engine BMW ever made") for a similar period without it catastrophically exploding. Something that anecdotally was apparently bound to happen the moment I turned the key.

A quick rummage through the WWW suggests that piston 'wrist pin ' problems seem to be pretty much only found on C300's of 2015/6 vintage in the USA.
Incidentally, the NHTSA apparently rejected that petition.
