Car
Mercedes GLC 63s
Evening All,
my car had a incident and the whole interior is fire gutted , the outside is perfect and the engine,
where could i gain a full new interior for it ?? and costs

and second question , should i let the insurance write it off ?? , i dare say i will not get the full valve price i want for it.

then do i get another GLC 63s Amg or do i go electric EQC SUV ............................... ?????????Help

Where are you ? Your issue is that the 63s has a lovely full leather interior, and the lower models don't - so very few interiors available used - and looms and ducts will be damaged. I'd try and find some comparison prices for you to replace the vehicle, and let them write it off and try and get best price from them !

GLC63s and EQC are hugely different. I've gone from a GLC63s to an EQA and miss the 63s. I have something else on order so that is why. I don't miss the GLC fuel bill, but thats all I don't miss... We had one in the workshop last week so that didn't help me !!!

Wait for the insurance price then buy the car back from them

How did you find the EQA ?? and can i ask what else your getting ?? and o yes the 63s will be missed big time, it was a replacement for when my mum died , so i had something to look after.

yes my son in law said that to me , but its getting the interior for one !!?? .. and i put out the fire out , which someone started in the car !! but the fire men still drowned the car inside !?? and properly did more damage then good.
but would it not be logged then as a category write off ?? and then more to insure and not really ever sellable again ??

The amount of damage will be considerable, let it go and get something else.

This - you could find water damage in electronics or wiring harnesses after you fit a new interior, not to mention it’ll probably stink on warm days from the residual fire smell.

Also, if it’s drenched inside it’s risking mould and rusting underneath the carpet.

I thought fire damage meant what was the old Cat B designation and thus couldn’t be put on the road.

Get rid, possibly buy it back to break if you’re so inclined or see what a Merc breaker would pay but don’t bother spending good money on a new interior.

Sorry for a shitty situation!

you are must properly right .. it stinks inside the car and i will properly never get the burnt smell out of it... what ever i changed !! ..

and like you said , it properly go some where and be broken for parts ... the whole car is mint , not even a mark on the alloys and the engine and body work is perfect ..
