I picked up my new GLC (250D Sport) last Friday and I am enjoying it except for the brakes.

They bite really well and inspire confidence at speed but when stopping, the last 10 - 15 mph seems to take massive pedal pressure, so much so that I am concerned for my wife driving the car. 250 miles on the clock now and no sign of any improvement.

If things don't improve very soon I will go back to the dealer but I thought I would raise the subject here in the meantime.

Is this a normal bedding in problem?? Any thoughts/ suggestions on this would be welcome.

Brakes

Like most mine felt as if they were glazed for about 100` but are now excellent at 1500` certainly have never required a massive pressure on pedal to operate. You cold try wetting the discs so they rust then going for a run and braking.

450 miles on the clock now and they are much better now. They really were quite scary from new!

On a brand new vehicle! Wow

So what happens when the car is parked up for a couple of days on windy rainy days?
Towed about 120` no problem with brakes in fact only require a very small amount of pressure.
