GLC engine info

Hi I'm Newbie to the forum.
I'm looking to buy a GLC, my budget will probably reach to a 2017/2018 or maybe a 2019 model. I'm not sure which diesel engine would be best and are most reliable ,as I need it to tow a caravan from time to time. The 350d SUV or Coupe is what I have my eye on, but I would like your feedback as MB owners, Thanks

The OM642 3.0L V6 engine is a very good lump, only hampered by the fact that it is equipped with the AdBlue system, but then (almost) all EU6 Diesel MB cars are equipped with AdBlue so there's no way around it really (other than buying a petrol car or an EV). If you opt for an Approved Used car from a dealer you'll get one year warranty that will cover the AdBlue system.

2017-2018 cars will be the pre-facelift model, while a 2019 car could be either pre-facelift or facelift - expect an increase in price for the facelift model.

Incidentally, the X253 was replaced last year with the X254, and in these situations you can typically catch a good deal on late cars (2021-2022) of the outgoing model, might be worth checking if your budget will stretch?
