GLC Rear door closing itself and wont stay open

I've just encountered a strange issue with my GLC's boot opening and closing.

The boot will open and then immediately close.

I've tried opening it via the door, boot lid and key and in all instances, the boot will immediately close after two beeps.

Has anyone came across this before and if so how do you fix it.

the car is a 2019 GLC 250d

Hi I also have 2018 GLC 350d and have the same problem from today boot opens fully as normal beeps then closes fast (faster than noramal) need to know if it is a bill for parts or something else I can do to remedy

I booked my car into the main dealer and they said that the two gas struts had to be replaced, fortunately I still had a used car warranty. The new struts have cured the problem. Good luck with yours.
