Audi S7
i currently driving a S7 mapped to 520bhp which i enjoy but the noise was never there for me. Im expecting a baby in 4 weeks so looking for a family car.

I was looking to get a SQ5 but after extending my budget im now in love with the idea of getting a GLC63 around 2018 however have just seen the facelift interior dash of the 2019 car and have fallen in love as this is what i liked in the SQ5 the full dash.

Can i ask whats peoples thought on the GLC63 and do all the 2018 models come with apple car play?

Cracking car. Ferociously quick, with scorching 0-62 mph time. Reasonably practical too.

Be aware that it won’t be long before someone says “crabbing” - budget for winter tyres and you won’t regret your purchase.

My S7 loves to Crab, my friend who works for Mercedes just warned me about it.

Main concern is interface, I won’t be able to afford a facelift interior so worried if apple car play will work?

also what’s the average mpg people get

If that's a concern I don't think it's the right car :D ;)

I would imagine 20mpg would be common.

They didn't have apple car play as standard until midway through 2018 that model year for UK C Class cars with Comand On line, the GLC began to come through sometime after that. You would have to check the datacard to see if it had been optioned to be sure.

Those modules are made by Panasonic in that year and unfortunately Mercedes blocked the enable functions for carplay via OBD port, so cant be done after market without some other device involved.

I have never done it, you would be best looking up a specialist, Comand online or Braybrook in the south deal with in car electronics and comms for Mercedes. It will be at least a few hundred quid for sure.

I’ll have a look, I wanted a new mmi as I drive hire cars a lot and even the pugeots mmi is more modern than a 2 year old merc and Audi.

MPG really will vary dramatically based upon use. Expect <15 mpg for very short journeys on a cold start; 19-21 mpg for long journeys on A roads, dual carriageways, and motorways; 21-25 mpg for long journeys with cruise control set 55-60 mph; and 25< mpg strictly achievable in perfect conditions and reserved for world record attempts. For everything else, expect 16-18 mpg.

As suggested you would need to check the data card of specific pre-facelift cars to find out if they have Apple Carplay.

A long push on the Linguatronic button should activate Siri, which combined with MMI should give you reasonable music options.

Thanks for all your support, should be picking up my GL63s on Tuesday, very excited. . .

will keep you updated

Ive just come out of an S7 into a late 68 Glc 63, the noise is great, not as comfy as the S7 and mine does not have apple car play, no regrets at the moment, only been 3 days though
