GLE Coupe anyone?

INHO BMW X6 looks a little bit better. Infiniti QX70 is much better.
At the end of the day neither have the MB badge behind them though.

You are probably right but I remember similar things being said of the X6 and that commanded a premium for a while and residuals were very good for this type of car.

They aren't making many of them initially, so deals won't be massive. We can't even sell the one in our showroom yet

I love the look of it, it drives like a dream and does not feel bulky inside at all, with plenty of room in the back ( I am 6ft). I have had 2 CLS's before this, the GLE gives me the feel of a real sporty coupe but with the height and great driving position for my ageing knees.

That makes sense. They only take a few days to build but I forgot where they were built.

Well, for those who don't frequent the AMG forums, yes I've managed to bag the first GLE63 coupe in the country. I think my dealer got a bit of grief for selling it as all the cars in the first shipment that arrived last week should've been registered as demonstrators. Oops

Anyway, since swapping our ML63 for an E63 a few weeks ago, I've really missed the SUV. Not that there's anything wrong with the E63 but I've really grown to respect the engineering that appears to go into these performance SUV's - the depth of quality, luxury, outrageous performance and feeling of sheer indulgence is impressive. I mean, who doesn't like an illuminated climate controlled cup holder

Here's the puppy (or is it a hippo?) having been detailed and coated with Gtechniq's Crystal Serum and now just waiting collection on Saturday

Well done Andrew. I see you have opted for the tobacco interior, is tan not available?as I am looking to order mine in Palladium Silver with tan interior. I have seen the Colour in brochures but it doesn't look to be on the options list.

I was trying to demonstrate the similar rounded looks to the characters in the ad, but drew a poor comparison - or is that a second reverse gear?!!

No tan available

Choice of black (which I'm bored with), white (which is a nightmare to keep in good condition...I have been there!) and this brown. It's probably the one I'd have chosen anyway but it's as it comes, I didn't specifically spec it.

This car is standard with Premium Pack (which has things like 360 camera, massage seats, soft close doors and illuminated side steps) - everything appears to be standard and the only options available and not ticked are the Drivers Pack (top speed increase and louder exhaust) and Bang and Olufsen audio.

Quite a beast! It was a bit dusky, so the black didn't stand out from afar, but this thread helped me identify it as it went past.
