I recently picked up the wife's new to her GLE and apart from the usual used car stone chips and scratches, to the naked eye the paint work looked to be in great condition. I knew I was always going to be booking it in for paint correction and a ceramic coating, in fact I had already enquired about the work before collecting the car.

Here comes the shock when the car (and a huge percentage of other cars) is under different lighting.

After a full paint correction and a IGL Ecocoat Kenzo ceramic coating applied, I hope you'll agree she looks better than showroom condition again.

Car looks fantastic dude.

Welcome to world of ceramic coating. Did the Detailer give you a maintenance pack to go with it.
I only ask as many people think that coatings don't need regular maintenance, but in actual fact they need just as much attention as non coated cars.

Thanks, it's not my first ceramic coating so I have a little bit of experience with it. Although the Detailer said my wife's face was a picture when he handed her the maintenance sheet when she went to pick the car up. "Maintenance, what do you mean maintenance, I thought that's why we paid all of that money so we didn't need to do anything to the car". I can imagine that sheet has been folded up and is keeping a chair level somewhere.
I guess that'll be my job..............................as usual.

I agree but it's a shame that is short lived. Hopefully the ceramic coating will help to extend that time.
It will do buddy, you may want to look into your wash method even more so, depending on how you do it now,

🤣, full correction and coatings are expensive, but worth the money long term.
Most are judged by beading and the repellent nature, but they are are far more than than that.

Car looks great buddy, have fun washing it, I don't miss washing mine weekly, you need a step ladder to wash the roof😆

Lee, although I'm sure there is room for improvement with everyone's washing techniques, I'm already a converted pressure gun pre-rinse, snow foam, pressure gun rinse, 2 buckets, grit guard, lambs wool mitt, pressure wash, microfibre towel dry kind of guy. My last car was Selenite magno grey, so I'm out of touch with that claying/polishing/waxing/sealing game.

re Roof, that's where a tall Son comes in.
Thanks again Lee, appreciated.

Sorry buddy, ref wash techniques, I actually deleted and edited that post, as it read like a criticism, I meant no offence fella. It was mainly aimed at keeping the paint swirl free, esp after all the work you've just had done

No offence taken mate, no worries.
I was just trying to let you (and everyone else reading) know I wasn't going to be washing it with a brillo pad full of grit and the existing dirt on the car. Reading back, I guess my earlier reply could have been written better also.

WOW! what a before and after, looks stunning, and love the grill. :) 👍

Thanks, I thought it looked well before any work was done, so I wasn't expecting such an improvement. I am impressed with the outcome, although you lot have seen as much as me (pictures) as I'm away from home for the next ~8 weeks.

Stunning looking in black. 👏👏👏
Thanks Ant.
I must admit the colour wasn't my choice, but both of us are happy with it. I know how much Mrs RT abandons any responsibility regarding the interior or exterior cleaning of any car so I know it probably won't look like that for long while I'm away.

I’m sure Mrs RT has other priorities. ☺️

eBay, Bentley Grills, as recommended by other threads on this forum.
Cheaper than I thought it was going to be so I was a little concerned until it arrived.

Thanks for the link. Did you fit it yourself? I took a quick look under the bonnet and it does not look like a quick and easy job!
