Couldn't find a GLK thread to tack on to (can't beleive we don't have one, not sure I believe the search).

Anyway, so I saw a GLK last week. Maybe not the most pretty car, but I quite liked the looks none the less and it looked a practical car, height and general size wise. Looked designed for a purpose rather than pretending to be a 4x4, quite refreshing.

Is it coming to the UK?

No, AFAIK they can't make it RHD.

I saw it in Hamburg when launched last year and whilst it's not the best looking in pictures I really liked it in the flesh and should it be available in RHD I'd have one.

Mind you, they also reviewed the ML320CDi against X5, Touareg and lexus something and the ML came last. They had the Touareg (3.0 V6 diesel) as winner, but thought the X5 was best on the road.

Also add:

Cheap and nasty interior quality.

Nice alloys though.

See to me it looked much nicer than an X3, which looks like a bogus off roader, and the gangley looking younger sibling of the X5, without any of the poise the X5 carries. The GLK at least looks as if it were meant to be.

Not much of a concern if it's not to hit our shores though!

Best thing about them is the fact it's basically a 204 C class..... so NO problems! But the slowest seller, well, here anyway.
