Glow plug light

Evening all.

When starting my CLS i let the glow plug light go out until i start it. After about 5 seconds it lights up again the goes out again after 10 seconds or so. My car is a 2008 cdi 320. Any help would be appreciated.

Glow plug indicator coming back on after starting the car usually means a fault in the glow plug system, either a plug or the relay.
That said the indicator usually stays on longer than 10sec though.
Get the codes read with STAR

If you find a faulty Glow plug then replace all 6.

Thank you for the replies guys, ill get it plugged in and see what codes if any it throws up.

The Icarsoft scanner can do that job and tell you what plug it is ,it is £120 but use it twice and it pays for itself.

Yes definatly and use genuine,

there are plenty of write up on changing the GPs if going along DIY, last thing you want is to snap one.
