GLS 350d Tailgate Auto Opening

Morning all, I am a new owner of a GSL350D AMG Line 2017, I love it. One question I have is should I have the Option for the Tailgate to open with a flick of the foot under the rear bumper. I have tried it so many time and no affect. I can open from the key, handle on the tailgate and button on the drivers door, just no foot flick option. I know its no biigie, just wondered if I had the feature and if it was working or not. Thanks in advance.

I shared your pain. Had the same option of key-less entry on my previous MB and it only worked when it wanted to. You feel like kicking the bumper to get it to work. The dealer always stated that nothing was wrong, just my foot waving technique!

I gave up and used the key to open, or the button in the drivers door as you state. Maybe the MB system only recognises German footwear?
