Golf Gti 2.0L, 8V Colour concept, Red/Black, 1997 for sale. Manual gearbox, 96,763 Miles, only 3 owners from new including myself.
This car has been with me since 2001 (I have the receipt of purchase from VW main dealer in 2001) and looked after very well but I shall be moving overseas so need it to go to a good home.
Features are; ABS, Adjustable seats, Adjustable steering column/wheel, Alloy wheels, Anti theft system, CD, Central locking, Colour coding, Driver airbag, Electric mirrors, Electric windows, Fog lights, Head restraints, Heated seats, Leather seats, Locking wheel nuts, Passenger airbag, Power assisted steering, Sports seats.
It has FULL service history from new as follows;
10,182 VW main dealer, 24,307 VW main dealer, 41,755 VW main dealer, 49,166 VW main dealer, 57,633 VW main dealer-TOOTH BELT CHANGED + FULL service, 64,203 VW main dealer, 71,552 VW main dealer, 78,889 specialist, 89,325 specialist and 93,734 specialist- INCLUDING HEAD GASKET.
The car has been SORN since 2009, and hence no MOT or TAX, but just before I had it SORN I had done the dreaded head on the car and changed all hoses etc (spent over £1000) plus a full service. All receipts are available as well as every single MOT and stamped booklet. The interior is in very good condition with the usual wear and tear on the driver’s side seat. The car starts and drives well.
Bad points are only cosmetic and are as follows;
1) The passenger’s side front and rear doors and rear panels have the red paint fading and this will need to be looked into.
2) Slight rust under the door seal on the driver’s side.
3) Alloys might need a bit of touching up.
I am looking for £1200ono.
