Good main dealer experiance

As per title....

MB Nottingham quoted £295 for B service on the W204 220cdi, MB Chesterfield beat this at a list price of £225.
Booked in with Chesterfield, W204 went in Friday morning and I was given a new (1400 miles) E class 250cdi as courtesy car. Went back Saturday 12pm to collect W204 and invoice total was £190 inc vat :bannana: (have known service manager 10 years though).

Excellent service throughout, highly recomended.

That's about how much is should be. It's only a glorified oil change. The other prices are a rip-off.

Fully appriciate it's only an oil change and a poke about, but whilst under warranty I wanted to keep the servicing MB (Mobilo & rust warranty upkeep also good).
I was pointing out that as always, you need to shop around and don't just accept the first quote.
As a side note, MB Nottingham asked me to ring them if I got a better deal. Not a chance, if they can reduce their quote, then it just means they were riping you off first time around.
When it's out of warranty, I'll probably service it myself anyway.
