C55 gone to a great guy, will be sadly missed but still will be having fun with the Kleemann. Just want to say big thanks to Ollie at PCS and Richard and Alfie from Command - sure Charles will have some future work for you.

You say good-bye and I say hello!

Back home with a massive smile on my face. The car is just beautiful - all the glories of a C55 with superb coilovers (I recall my C32 being pretty agricultural compared to my Boxster - this is just right up there), brilliant brakes and what a hoot to hoof. I was feeling a touch jaded by the time I had got into Plymouth on the train (can't remember the last time I did that, which I hope remains the case in future) but a superb drive up the A303 brought the sunshine back.

More impressions to come, but this is a car that communicates, is as tight as a drum to drive, refined, excellent suspension that reads the road like braille porn and that V8 growl as she winds up is just orgasmic. Falling in lurve again, what am I to do?

Super car Ossie - a real credit to you.

Couldn't be more pleased that the beast has gone to a good home and will be cared for. Glad you like it. The brake and suspension upgrade is something that AMG should have done in the beginning it just sets a new standard for an already good car. Hope to hear of your future track days.

Regards

Ossie.

I am truly gutted that I didnt buy it. The ride and handling is just fantastic on those coilovers.

Enjoy it. When your finished I want it.

What's a W124? :)

Olly

I am delighted you pointed me to it. Of course you shall have first refusal. See you Tuesday.

I couldn't get the car out today, too many vans on the drive. Roll on the weekend!

Ossie fitted Bilstein coilovers, plus c63 front brakes and CLK55 performance pack rear brakes. They work stunningly well.

Yesterday as I chatted to a neighbour about it, a black C55 with the same front grille change drove by - anyone here in Iver yesterday?

Took it out for a run today, nothing really taxing, but with the exception of speed bumps which it hated, my smile was positively feline. About the only thing I am finding hard is the rear tint - reversing into my tightly packed garage is pretty much blind, and I know this will cause problems in future. Anybody got any tips on removing it from a heated rear window?

Got parking sensors, in a tight space they simply ping all the time which makes them functionally useless. I do go very slowly, but with several buttresses in the walls and a tiny entrance good visibility without having to switch from looking at very dark to very bright is essential for me to see properly.

'Ping' is good, it's when it goes constant you know you only have a few inches left!
