Looks like I am changing. Would have loved another S211, but just not many around now that meet my requirements and Mercland have what looks like a lovely example 2011 C220 CDI Sport ED125 Estate in Pearl Beige. Can't go wrong with one of Jay's cars!

Comments, observations etc. welcome :)

You’ll regret moving to a W204 from a W211.

Further to this...

It all depends on what you're looking for in a car. The W204 will handle better, but the W211 will be more comfortable and IMO has a more 'Mercedes like' interior. The W211 is honestly such a great car it's a hard one to beat! :) The C class will feel more nimble around corners but the E is more of a cruiser.

Thanks. I don't do long trips now and in any case, good 211s are so hard to find.

Are you having issues with your current one?

The natural progression would be the W212.

Hate to sat this, but you were right! Love the S204 but would easily switch back to an S211
