I'm planning to go down to Goodwood on Wednesday to meet up with Sean & Ricky.

Weather should be nice.

Anyone fancy a drive down there?

Was hoping to meet up with Sean on the way down but he was banging on about needing beauty sleep

I am happy driving without an escort .. plus I will be going via central London on the A3.

Had a great day out so thanks to all who attended and a special thanks to Ricky and Sean who gave me passenger rides in their cars :thumb:

Really good day indeed!
Weather was great, cars were awesome and the company even better

Ricky took me round in his E55 too... Wow, that thing is fast!
Ricky sure knows the track too :rock:

Very impressed with the pace of his car, the Michelins and the Brabus brakes!

Great to see Sean's GT3 finally! Awesome car!
Sean's confidence on track grew steadily and he was soon disposing of the other cars on track!

Great to spend the day with Steve, Ricky, Sean, Colin and The Don, who made a short notice surprise visit!

Colin's GTR was mental. Absolutely rocketed down the straight!

I'll post up pictures once I've sorted them out... Extremely tired now.

sounds like fun Rash, gutted I couldn't make it and thanks for passing on the message.

Just got an invite to Rockingham from AMG on the 24th Sept so maybe I can make up for it then.

Hi Rash, did you like the picture!?

sean,

how was it? its to see the GT3 is no longer a track virgin :)

I managed 5 sessions in all :)

a total 106 miles of track distance. Much more than I ever dreamt possible when 39 cars turned up. I have never seen such long queues at Goodwood.

As a result, I managed 1 session in the morning.

However, I got in 4 sessions in the afternoon.

by 3pm, many cars had left.

I was on the penultimate and the last session.

I absolutely loved it.

The GT3 is very different to the CLS55 .. both of which have been on Goodwood.

On sessions 4 and 5, the car and I really began to work well together. I was pushing it, but well within the GT3's capabilities.

Apart from going on track from the pit lane, I only used 3rd and 4th gear. It was all about smooth steering, driving lines, feeling the balance of the car and realising how much grip and ability the GT3 has.

The brakes were amazing, and towards the end, I braked harder and later, and my cornering was much improved.

Thanks to Rash for moving my car along the queue in the morning when I went off to play with the F types.

Sounds great Sean. Had a 4s which handle great but the gt3 is a different league and its great to hear you had a chance to explore some of its capabilities and maybe one day I will add one to the garage. Did you get a chance to go out on track with Ricky? I seam to remember him hossing that car around as though it was a light weight and leaving me for dust :)

39 cars is a lot though so i am glad you got some good track time in later in the day. are you coming to the eve appeal day?

Justin
