This and that.
As of this evening, if I search for something on Google, I get this:
309r4nd.jpg

I've deleted my cookies several times, and I keep getting the same thing!

What's going on? :dk::wallbash::mad:

Put in the Charaters and Google will resume normal Function.

Not sure what you are searching for
Anything.

Google
Anything
Book
Help
403 forbidden error
Tuesday
Mercedes
Appletree
etc

Found an email address, [email protected], and I've rattled off a stroppy email. I've got a reference no, so let's see what happens...

Have you tried Firefox? Far better than IE I have found.
Assume you have cleared your cache, temp files etc?

It's nothing to do with IE. I have the same problem with Firefox (which I don't use, but have for wesite testing)

Yes, the whole lot. and I've flushed my DNS cache, too.

Try another search engine like Yahoo just to see what the think of you.

Have you done a spyware check?

It's more about what I think of them... I can't be ar$ed with all that news, and adverts, and other junk, I just want a plain search page.

Go to MALWAREBYTES.ORG and download their free anti malware software. You could be running an infected machine withut knowing.
Most antivirus and antispyware programs dont detect or remove malware.
Worth trying anyway.
I downloaded the small program last week and it found 29 infections on my PC and I thought my PC was squeaky clean.
Here is a link..............

I'll do that Dave, thanks. Having said which, everything is back to normal as of this afternoon

did you get a reply from this address after all then?

So far, just the automated response telling me they care very much, and will get back to me...

I am having a very similar problem in that
1 i keep getting popup ads inspite of a popup blocker
2. If I search on google I get redirected to another Ad site ( via a couple of quick redirects eg

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=argos&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

goes

http://www.blackmoonpoker.com/pokerboat/index.php?lang=gb

http://159_48664.admarketplace.com/

I tried your suggestion to go to Malwarebytes and my browser ( IE) took me to google site for this search and wont take me anywhere else!

It looks like malware ads but the ad sites are in the main quite "respectable" I see site like overture on the way and I suspect a yahoo virus but find that incredible.

Given that this problem blocks me from a google search solution does anyone know how to fix it

Im about to rebuilsd my computer from scratch softwarewise but would rather not!:wallbash:

Looks like you have a rather active redirector installed on your machine.

There are ways to get rid which are alot easier than a hard disk format and a complete re-install of all your software.

And after all that, you may very well get infected again.........................

PM ME Please..............

A BIG THANKS to verytalldave who was most helpful with this problem

Unfortunately the Malware was so nasty that it wouldnt let me run the suggested software and ive now rebuilt my pc:crazy:

It needed it anyway but an unwanted chore:mad:

Might be worth editing post #16 in case someone accidentally or innocently clicks on the re-direct links, to avoide any more infections!!
