Hi all,
As I planned I today acquired a lovely silver colour C250td Sport off Autotrader, it's the V reg one if anyone is interested. Nothing major wrong with it, usual rust bubbles, but to be honest I was expecting a LOT more rust, i think my old T reg BMW 5 series had more rust.
It has FSH, up 80k on MB and up to 179k from an indie mb mechanic. The car was bought from a retired old couple, the guy had it for 14 years, all receipts and MOT's for it since he had it, and he bought it for £14.5k! The car needs two new back tyres, and new steering drag link assemblies (which seem an ok job to do, £75 off ebay?). It's autobox is the well smooth, I've driven auto's before, and this one is pure silk, and at 180k, I'm wondering whether I should leave the autobox oil or change it anyway?
All in all a good day, and I believe a good find. I think I'll enjoy it and clean it.
