If you have a vehicle stolen and you have evidence of where it is being kept, you'd think that the Police would at least show an interest, but apparently not. It was only after the victim involved the press as an act of desperation over plod's inaction that they actually found it within their capacity to do anything.

Is it any wonder that respect for the Police is as low as it is and still diminishing?

I simply can't understand why the Police ignore these situations when people have trackers/addresses of stolen items - even if they just investigated to keep the stats up it's in their benefit... go figure.

Sadly I see this as the norm. The rank and file Police want to help but are hamstrung by the powers that be to the point, unless it is happening in front of them and they have it on camera, it is unlikely that you will see a great deal of interest. Having recently been told that Drug Dealing is acceptable behaviour as long as we know where it is happening!! and seeing the absolute frustration in the local Police at their senior leadership it is how we now live.
