my ex got clamped once (totally her fault - no ticket etc etc) - noticed that he hadnt quite clicked the lock into place - so she un'locked' it and lobbed the clamp into the boot and drove off..

sold the clamp for ?£20 later that day :D

doesnt help your case at all.. petrol angle grinder club buy anyone ;)

Who saw the Top gear episode where they bought three cheap cars and drove them to Manchester and back.
JCs Volvo only cost one pound froma main dealer.

What about an MB club day out to Howarth in a load of (say 50) cheap cars, park them in this carpark right to the entrance, get them clamped and then just walk away.

Scumbag then has A) no trade and B) a hefty bill for scrapping all the cars. :D

OK Dieselman, you win. That's much better than my idea. :D
But how do we all get home?

Edit:- Do you think he has got enough clamps?

Edit #2:- An old bangers GTG in Haworth then......

How about starting a web site called www.dontgotohaworth.com.

If the locals see their business in jeopardy due to this scum they might put some pressure on.

we would probably get nicked for fly tipping or dropping liitter.

We need to register all the old bangers in the clamper's name. Then have a GTG.

Gramere-I understand your feelings. Why not take a case through the Small Claims Court? It will only cost you a few pound but it means they have to send a representative ( get the name of the MD of the company and name this person as the defendant) You never know you might win; even if you don't, you will have the satisfaction of wasting his/her time.

I thought Scotland had it's own parliament/government

That is a separate house... Gordon Brown and John Read to name but a few are scottish, and hold seats in scotland. But sit in the English parliment. That means they can make laws that have no effect on their home seats... It used to be noted that the Scots and Irish would abstain from voting on points that would not affect their seat but this has gone out the window now ...

:) ;) Off topic I know, but you have forgot someone that ought to be mentioned.

The son of a barrister and lecturer, Tony Blair was born in Edinburgh.

I accept that he does not hold any seat in Scotland.

Regards,
John

big chain and padlock over the entrance to the car park?

10 tonnes of rubble dumped at the entrance to the car park (like farmers do to stop pikeys? )

We could always dump this bully under the rubble !

what's the deal with ML's and other SUV's can they get a clamp on them, I used to have a Hilux pick up with a big lift and huge wheels, on return after parking a clamper wanted £75 to remove the supposed clamp which was just leaning against the wheel cos he obviously couldn't get it on. A withering look later and off I popped, assume clamp technology has moved on with the popularity of 4 x 4's

A mate of mine used to own a citroen BX(the fool) And he used to rave on about the fact that he could just fully lower the hydrolic suspension so the clampers couldnt get the clamp on. Well at least the car had one good thing going for it!!LOL :p

Just read this post so this is a bit late, but bl00dy hell. i think i seen the programme abt this firm on TV. Should have just buried the guy, i remember top gears report, and how they operate their own law, etc..

I also had a parking attendant check my car as i was going to the get my ticket, he even saw me, and i spotted him so quickly got the ticket and walked back quickly, and he says oh "lucky you got back in time with that ticket" , to which i smiled and said " Yep, lucky for you mate, else you'd lose the rest of your teeth too!". He just quietly walked off. :)

thanks for your empathy lowvento - even weeks later I am still miffed about the incident - still working on my revenge ;)

hi John ,i don't believe that clamping has never been legal in scotland.

Clamping is now illegal in Scotland, I remember about 10years ago, people in Glasgow being clamped. Think the final straw was a doctor on an emergency call had been clamped in a hospital car park! The law then changed and clamping was made illegal.

grasmere - well done for not resorting to violence, I would struggle to "keep the heid" I'd put it down to experience and forget it, dont lower yourself to their level, knowing what the Law is like in the UK your more than likeley to end up in trouble than he is.

Cheers,
C

Brake fluid in an old washing up bottle can be quite effective. You can actually write what you think of the person concerned (something like "Clamper Scum") and the first he knows about it is when the paint is bubbling off.

We should put them out of pocket just like they have us
