saw this jag at my work - it had like 7 antennaes on it, when the guy opened his boot it had like so many electronic boxes with flashing lights!!! so I quickly got my camera and snapped these 2 pics:

anyone shed any light? it's not any networking equipment that I know of?

anything with 4 wheels and that many antennas on the roof is usually an umarked police car !!   But in this case I somehow doubt it given the size of that thing stuck to the boot lid <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

I can tell you that it is a 4Litre V8, Auto built in 1998 and first registered on 6th April 1998 <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp; But no idea what all the aerials are for. Can't be police because of the private plate, what about radio or TV company? You should've asked em!

Its not pretty, is it? You´d think he´d take that tacky little yellow sticker off his rear plate, but when the back of your car looks like that, why bother???

It appears to be a black umbrella that got jammed in there, but I guess its more likely to be one of the older style rod aerials for a car satellite phone.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

Good shooting Koolvin. My cameras always somewhere else. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

got it....it's one of them up-market TV detector cars for patrolling the posh estates in Posh &amp; Becksville etc  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>   <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>   <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

expensive bumper car..... or maybe a swingball for when the kids get bored on long trips &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Maybe an amature radio operator. They normally have allsorts of antena on thier cars. The big one on the back looks like it could be an hf antena. If he was useing HF,2mtr &amp; 70cm then he would need all different Twigs as they call them.I have a friend who is an amature radio opperator I'll try and get his opinion.

A half wave diapole maybe? - that brings back memories from my comms course.
