Bought myself an R107, which is actually not too bad, despite the smilie above, but does have some issues that need dealing with. Advice on either fixes, or suppliers on these bits. Also could do with finding a workshop manual of some sort.

First up seems to be the heater blower which is so noisy I thought the engine was dropping out .

Secondly I have a leak into the drivers side which is more of a very bad flood. Havn't found the culprit as yet, but thoughts on the most common causes would be welcome.

Third is a missing space saver spare wheel. Not too bad as it came with an extra full size, but that does not fit in the wheel well

Finally, is a bottom carpet set, the side carpets are OK, but the bottoms are pretty tatty.

Thoughts and answers on a postcard .....

It was a full size alloy supplied with the R107 series... they look like they dont fit but the plastic cover is contoured to fit around a full wheel.

Leak could be many things... hood, rust in bulk head etc etc... you will need an assistant with a hose.

Thanks for the answer. Will have to have a play around with the wheel as I just made an assumption based upon size.

Planning on doing the hose pipe thing as soon as it stops raining long enough ;-) Could not see any rust in the bulkhead from either top or bottom, but of course that is no guarantee.

The areas that openly look dodgy for water at the moment are inner edge door seal looks flat and could be coming in there after flowing down the A pillar. The inner plastic cover in the door is missing and the window seal is perished. Also, but not sure how this would work, it looks like it may be arriving into the car either at the leading edge of the door, or rear of the wing area as this area seems a bit damper than the rest. As you say, only a hose will reveal the mystery.
