My first post in the defector's section - how excting!

What a nice pair!

W202 in the background not mine this time - one of the neighbours has a double!

This is what it's all about:

Wheels dirty, but you get an idea of the size of the brakes - somehow they seem more impressive in the flesh!

Nice to have some proper instruments and a decent trip computer.

Standard fit along with vanity mirrors

Golf GT TDI

The S4 packs more punch now, but you can't see that in a picture (just how I like it)

A MAS that was under reading the air intake by up to 10% has been replaced, the fragile diverter valves replenished and a custom remap configured by a man with a laptop in my passenger seat (lead to ECU) ordering floor it now!

Anyhow, some pics of the other addition to the fleet.

The stock brakes on the S4 looked sizeable enough, but after some very worthwhile engine tuning, they went from being a little lacking to a little scarey.


So, latest mod, Porsche 993tt disks and calipers. 323mm drilled, vein ventilated disks, 4-pot Porsche calipers (made by Brembo) and RS4 teflon lined brake lines. Movit bells.

Out come: better bite and less fade. Looks cool.

163mph in ~1.5 miles at VMAX (Piston Headers will know all about this).
