- Mine: BMW X4 2.0d M-Sport (Red) Hers: BMW X1 2.0d M-Sport (Black) Sorry about that...
I know it's not strictly detailing, but a new car wash has just opened - about half a mile from home.
A thorough wash, going into every crevice on the wheels, rinse and dry with proper leathers, not squeegee blades. Glass cleaned inside, all door shuts leathered, tyres dressed.
The car stays parked in one place, and the same 2 lads do every stage of the job. No shunting from place to place, so you can get out of the car and watch the job progress. A black car shows every mark - and when they had finished the car looked as good as it did in the showroom.
All for £8. Not just that - but every 4th wash is free - so the real cost is £6 a time.
If they keep up the standards they have started with, I think I'll be seeing an awful lot of them.
Maybe buying a black car wasn't the smartest move (the dealer only had black ones in stock so I had no real choice anyway) but these guys are making it easy to keep the car clean.
