I think the E350 with sport pack kinda overides the need for a E500 since it gives similar performance for a lot less money and better petrol mileage. Unless the V8 arrives. You can easily get 2-3k off list on a E320cdi let alone e500.

If i were buying i would def opt for new v6 E320cdi now, more torque and better economy in real world driving.

I normally just take up 2 spaces , kinda solves that problem , but i know what you mean

The E39 has rubbing strips, but still hasn't stopped me from getting the odd door dings ! Grrrrrr

I will not go over 50k and I just don’t think I can do that with the merc without having a compromise which isn’t what I wanted. So I’m going to have a look at a year old LS430 today (everything is standard) if I like the car all I will have to do is find the right colour combination for me.

Well I sold my Cerebra this morning so most the money is there now. Now the decision time has really come. The LS430 is an uncompromising car, don’t knock it until you have driven and played in one. But then that little star at the end of the bonnet has a feel good factor welded into it. If I do buy the LS it will be the first time I brought a second hand car and I also like the feeling that cars are mine. Going to have to do a lot of hard thinking on this subject.

Don't buy a Lexus LS430, you'll regret it, no street presence - How about a nice Brabus E6.1 for €60,258.62 - just right to go down to Tesco's and do the saturday shop in.

I got a pug 307 black auto in the end (but having a armrest helped it a lot). Long story.

I had the LS430 for a weekend (very good sales staff at Carlisle) but it just did not fit right with me.

I had the w210 stripped back not to long ago and there was rust every where that put me off a new merc (and price for the one I wanted). Do not like BMW or Adui etc.

And yes, please don't get a Lexus, its only appeal is to Americans, it has no style (although no doubt a great car).
