Is that the Bruce Meyer of the Meyers Manx beach buggy?
Same State (California) but different generation. Beach Buggy Bruce died last month, aged 94.

The Petersen Museum Bruce is a chiselled whippet from the next generation who's still going strong, although he's just given up racing motorcycles, "for fear of falling over." (At 74)
 
Ah right, I had a quick look at the link and I saw Hippy so assumed it was the same 🤣
