But the government normally follows advice and this was not just a uk push was it not pushed across Europe too hence the enormous amount of investment into diesel technology.

I confess I’m no expert but I do get fed up with this chopping and changing, a few years down the line you can bet some of the current thinking will be changed and something else will be demonised.
