C180 Coupe Kompressor
Hi Folks,
Thanks for the intro, I’m a virgin MB owner and will pop my cherry on Saturday
I am just about to take ownership of a C class kompressor coupe, an older model 2004, but it luckily only has 54k on it! Full leather and all the bits.
This would be my first MB. Was gonna replace my wee Peugeot 207 that shat itself a week ago with another puddle jumper to sit in for the morning commute, instead I’ll buy what I fancy this time!! Anyway turn 50 in a few weeks and thought I’d treat myself.
Hope you can all help with some stuff, and it will be reciprocated, I know my way round an engine, so buckle up , it will get interesting......

Welcome, am sure you will enjoy the change

Can anyone enlighten me about the strange thing in my armrest? Looks like phone dock, surely not? How can I get Bluetooth in this car?
Many thanks in advance..

To get BT to work you need the module that fits in the armrest. Either Viseo or HFP will do, a quick google will tell you all about them. I use HFP and find the sound quality very good, in fact the best I have ever had with BT.

Thanks for your reply, sorry but I find it a little pricey for a BT adaptor! It will have to wait until I get some spare cash for that one.... no other way? I would imagine there would be a way to put a cable to the back of the stereo to add usb connections, think I’ll look into that first..

Errrmm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .............. I wouldn't bother wasting your time. Just get the proper module.

Tricky, is that just for the phone to work? I’m reading on here that that won’t let me play my music from my IPhone ?? Is that correct?

Think I’ll just go with the original,a Nokia 6300 and a cloned SIM card,£20 all in, don’t mind a disc or two in the car.

Seems a few of us appearing from NI at the same time!

Similar position and decided why not on a nice Mercedes....

So far the knowledge seems more than worthwhile.

Hopefully happy ownership for you :D

Hi, yes been good so far, had to fit brake shoes immediately after buying but my mechanic is pleased that I bought something nicer for him to work on for a change!
Enjoy!
