After lurking for a while, I've finally signed up, joining the Mercedes Collective by moving from the 'Dark Side' having swapped my faithful 3 Series touring for a C Class estate. It's a mere C180 (M274 engine) and is a stereotypical silver/black, but it does have all the stuff I wanted ( Bi-Xenons, heated seats ) and the added unexpected feature that it's real leather and not Artico.

It is reasonably spritely given it's such a heavy car and only a 1.6. It certainly isn't a C63 but it will keep up with the traffic and turn in over 40mpg on a motorway schlep. A diesel is no good for me as I don't do the mileage to warrant it, although I did deliberate for ages over a very nice 350D before buying this.
