Morning all,

Not too sure about the grill on my potential new Mercedes.

Have a look and tell me what you think, keep it or change it?

And if change, what too?

Cheers,

Phil

That sort on thing looks OK on an HGV, or Bus. They’re usually fitted to cars by losers who just want to make absolutely sure everyone knows they’ve got a Mercedes, and are usually coupled with tacky modifications such as chrome wheel arches, and ridiculously low suspension.

Please feel free to agree / disagree with me, I can stand it.

Change it to anything other than that. Use chicken wire as a stop gap if necessary:crazy:

I voted it should go.

BUT, what I mean is one of them needs to go. Either loose the emblem in the grill or the bonnet ornament. It is when you have both it looks silly IMHO.

LOL, cheers guys.

I'm thinking change it to the more standard looking grill myself.

Keep 'em coming.

Cheers,

Phil

You should either get the stock grill, or get an S600 grill and trim it down to fit the grill frame on your w124 for the "avantgarde" look, that looks a lot nicer than the big-star grill you have now, and keeps it looking "factory".

That sounds like a plan Shude.

Any idea where I could get one or am I looking at mega-bucks from the Dealers?

Cheers,

Phil

Change it, and do it quick!!!

Try Ebay

I have bought from this guy before, he is fine and good to deal with.

You could sell your old grill on there too......someone will want it, probably a yank with no taste :D

Why don't you tell us more about your "Potential New Car"?

Is that acually it or one like it? I like the wheels.

Also, what about the car in you Avatar? A Mitsubishi Lancer EvoX?

That's the one.

It's a 95 'N' E220 Sportline Coupe, blue with beige leather and all the toys.

Basically I was thinking of moving on from the Evo VI as I've had it a year, but anything like this is hard to shift because of insurance/running costs and what have you.

The guy who owns the Coupe fancied a PX deal so subject to a satisfactory meeting on Saturday I'll be a Mercedes owner :)

Would have preferred a 6 cylinder but it's a good deal and I can always upgrade :D

Cheers,

Phil

Dontcha just love the lines on a W124 Coupe :D

As a matter of interest, how much are you having to part with for it. (dont answer if the question offends)
