Update on my C63. Stage 3 Weistec is now fitted and I have the bits back from Wicked Coatings. I am absolutely delighted with these. The grille looks spot on. They also sprayed the rear diffuser black and applied a carbon dip. And the Merc star on the boot is now black. WC are specialist custom sprayers, they don't do cars, just bits. Highly recommended.

How much was the fit for stage 3 charger and what year is your car?

I'm interested in future doing the same but have LSD/wider rears on the list next as have the eurocharged tune and cars struggling putting down the power. Reason I'm curious of the age is the newer models I think 2012+ have the faster mct automatic (im end 2013) so wondering how well these work together.

You should have wrapped it, It will stone chip instantly which looks even worse on black cars & now its been sprayed you cant wrap it for a few months.

I wrapped mine and you cannot tell & when it gets chipped I just re wrap it for £20 but it holds up for months.

Speak to MSL performance if you want a price. Yes they all struggle for power like you mine is bad in 1st and 2nd putting it down with the Eurocharged map & as you can imagine they are a lot worse upping the power to 700+. If your serious about keeping the car and spending some money you can widen the rear arches to put wider wheels & tyres on but its not cheap.

Not really wider arches, just want to up from the factory spec 19" 30 255, to 265 or 275 width on the rear end as I read these fit fine.

Unfortunately i just had them changed due to one having a puncture, had it done at a main dealer and they would not deviate from Mercedes recommended sizing’s and I did not have time to find alternate fitment due to work commitments :( LSD is definitely on the list next.

I actually bought the Stage 3 from one of the guys on here, so I got it cheaper than new. The unit also has a 'Killer Chiller' which links to the air con and an 'Ice Tank' which sits in the spare tyre wheel well in the boot and circulates water the length of the car. They are additional to the main blower but as you will know, it's all about heat. Pre ignition detonation puts an end to any adventures. I have the AMG 440 upgrade which also helps cool the gearbox.

I run 265/19 Continental SP6's on mine and before I had the blower I was running 520 with the Eurocharged map. I have the Quaife LSD too. I did the Rico Rally in June and pounded that car all around those mountain passes overtaking absolutely everything, even a 911 on a charge down the Umbrail, and had no real issues with getting power down. I too have looked at putting 315's on the rears because of the extra power but I plan to do next June's Rally first because if it behaves it can stay as is. I have got hold of two 265/19 Toyo R888's which I plan to put on before I go. I couldn't get any for the fronts as they have been discontinued so it will have to be 888R's.

I don't know how you wrap a circular badge or the curved parts on the grille? And paint looks better. I will see how I get on, but it currently looks excellent, as does my black rear star and black diffuser with carbon dip. Well happy....

Just curious, did you upsize the rears only and stock width on front?

Yes. Because the fronts didn't need changing. I plan to put 235s on when I change but the front axle is different in as much as you have to consider the effect on over/understeer. TBH the feel on the 63 is good, plenty of feedback and it's positive. Ramming it round those alpine roads it never put a foot wrong so the 225s are fine.
