GTG Meet for 1st June 2008 - Shrewsbury

Morning all,

As a new member I am arranging a group meet at my work premises in Shrewsbury. The event will take place on Sunday 1st June 2008 from 10.30am and places will be limited to 40 cars (on our own private car Park). As my company is part of an independent group the event will be quite diverse and I hope will be of interest to a wide spectrum of people.

My sister company specialises in high end home audio visual equipment and they will be demonstrating HD TV and the latest in cinema sound.

My company will be demonstrating high end audio visual equipment for Vehicles, we will have a number of demo vehicles on display and advice on hand.

As it is a day event there will be hot Sandwich van on site for the morning snacks.
We will be providing a light buffet lunch to all that attend with soft drinks.

As numbers will be limited I will be sending out passes on a first come first serve basis.

Hope to see some good cars and meet some good people.

I appreaicte you will need to manage numbers for your GTG, but I am not sure your "pass" idea will work, but again good luck.

Limited Numbers

The reason that I will be sending out passes or getting confrimed numbers is because I want to make sure that everyone that turns up will have comfortable parking and to make sure that all people who attend have a good chance of looking around.

I hope that this does not offend anyone and look foward to seeing a nice turn out.

GTG Update !

I have put this GTG as an informal event to provide all members with useful information both on car & home Audio visual products. I have not really had much of a response, I hope this is not due to me listing the fact of limited places. the reason for this is due to car parking spaces that are availble and so that all cars that arrive can be displayed well.
I hope that I can get a good meet together and look forward to meeting some good people.

HI GL , Yes am part of SMC do you know them ?. and as for the other members comment maybe you are right but at the end of the day people do goto to shows and buy stuff , this is mainly aimed at educating people about the product that best meets there requiremnts without pressure

I suspect part of the reason is there is a massive GTG later in the month, so two passes out from the helping with the kids to go play with boys toys is unlikely to be forthcoming !!

Change of date

As there is a major meet in June I am quite happy to change the date for an informal meet in shrewsbury. if any one has any date suggestions please let me know many thanks.
