GTG on Sunday 14 May 2006...

Hi,

I am planning a GTG on Sunday 14th May and it will be good to get many people together as possible.

The venue is:

Madge House,
Priors Way,
Maidenhead,
Berks.
SL6 2HP

Will be nice to meet up with everyone, have lunch, beer etc. and should be a good afternoon out for all of us.

Those who are interested in coming please put yor names forward...

I know this might sound a bit of a cheek, but I would have a great venue in Hamble, near Southampton, overlooking the River Hamble, called the; www.oyster-quay.co.uk It has a nice big carpark and I would be able to organise the Conservatory, which is on the 1st floor. there is a lovely Carvery on Sunday's and I'm sur if there was enough of us I could get a Group Discount, (the owner is a personal friend). It also has a Verandah on the first floor, (great views). The Conservatory is Non-Smoking, as well as the Main Restaurant, but the Bar is Smoking, (yah!), so all are catered for.

On top of that it's only about an hours drive from the South M25 either on the A3 or M3 to the M27. Then it's about a 7 minute drive off the M27 to Hamble.

Also the weather is generally always good down these parts.

Anyway just an idea. What you think?

Bill’s location sounds VERY nice and I certainly would be up for it at a later date if everyone else agrees to this?

London looks like a no go so we are left with Berkshire??? Is Berkshire for this GTG ok with everyone else?

Thanks for all the possitive feedback guys.

I can arrange this venue any time, all I will need is a couple of weeks notice.

I would love to come up to Berkshire for a GTG, but I still have to have my Gearbox Fluid changed, as after a hour of driving it won't change up further than 3rd. Also I need to get my rear Uj's looked at, they make a clonking noise sometimes.

So there is my reason for not being able to travel any distance at this time, and I'm not sure when these problems will be fixed, so I will have to graciously decline at this stage, sorry.

But you chaps have a great time. I will make it to a GTG one day.
