Hello.

I head to Guernsey in a couple of weeks for 2 months, working in a hospital there. I've passed through once on my way to Sark, but never stopped there.

Any advice about the place? Places to go, places not to go etc?

Will be taking the old W124 - so any advice on good garages also!

All info gratefully received.

Cheers.

Tim

Small gene pool... watchout for people with 3 heads.

Spent the first 26 years of my life there.

You'll think you're driving round on a Scarlectrix track for the first few days until you get used to the roads.

I get cold sweats when I recall the antics I used to get up to riding/driving over there when I was a kid.

Police have nothing better to do than traffic duties, so keep an eye out, they like their covert operations. They are allowed to hide in hedges there, unlike here.

At this time of year parts of the coast road drops to 25mph.

Other than that, it's basically 65,000 alcoholics clinging to a rock in the middle of the English Channel.

Enjoy.

It's like the Isle of Wight with french street names!
Picturesque, good food and you’re going at the best time of year…:D
