Guess what I found in my CLK?

While pfaffing around this lunchtime, I managed to get dashboard cleaner between the dash and the glovebox lid.

Opening the glovebox to clean off excess cleaner revealed....

A chrome faced sunglass holder in the door of the glovebox!

Wow! It was just about invisible

This car never ceases to amaze me!

I have spent some time trying to find a new SRS airbag badge for mine, as it was missing from the door.

Then the other day, I found an SRS airbag badge in the centre console. I swear it was not there before.....

I think it took me over a year to notice the sun glasses holder too.

I was equally pleasantly amused when I discovered the little pop out cubby hole in the dash. I've never used it though!

Have you checked the centre console cubby hole for money. I keep £20 in there for emergencies and I'm not alone.

I read in another post that someone else found £20 in there when they got their car up.

i thought i was missing some options , as i had found them in the menu's of my wife's car (see previous post) but now i am happy i have the same options on mine too - though I am blowed if I can find the suntroof! still looking (grin)

I can't find the sunroof either!

But... why you'd want a sunroof and aircon, I don't know.

It was like this on another car I had and I used the sunroof once or twice in traffic because I was bored.

don't you all know that this cubby hole is the designated place to put your mints!

i remember being shown the hidey hole by the sales guy at handover, oh the shame as i let out an excited girly type shriek of excitement...

Are we talking W208 or W209 here? Had mine 2 years now (W208) not seen the sunglasses holder or cubby. If we are talking 208's could someone point out exactly where they are and maybe pics?

The sunglasses thing is in the glovebox door of W209's...

Very secretive.

If you open the glovebox.... let it lower to full open.

Then, if you look at the passenger door end of the glovebox door, you should see something nice and shiny :bannana:

Open the centre console to the larger, lower cupboard and you will find a little drawer toward the front end 'hidden' under the gearbox cover.

I've got an automatic so maybe only for those?

If I haven't got one, it shall be another reason to kick myself for not buying an auto....

My W203 coupe has the same secret chrome door on the inside of the glovebox door. Shame neither my sunglasses or normal glasses fit in there.
