I am guessing you have been down there and that's not from Google maps ;)

What do you mean by "are Mercedes in 10 minutes" ?

there is a silent comer in there, honest.
i was looking for a place called, avenue panel and passed Mercedes heaven, stopped and asked, if he had any coil springs for a w115 and was sort of told yes but no, think next time i go down i'll wear my overalls, and not a tie.

Ahh ha, gotcha now :)

Maybe it's one of those places where you take the parts off yourself so a suit n tie not the ticket -

I'll try and pop down there tomorrow afternoon and have a poke around :thumb:

johnny boy you might be my next best friend

Just got back from a quick scoot up to see the garage lodoswhar mentioned above -

Never seen anything like it, MB's piled up everywhere, some just driven onto the grass verge or into a hedge and left there with no covers

There's dozens of cars including some rare old tail fin models which I guess would be worth a bob or two but they are exposed to the weather and deteriorating quickly.

I spoke to a chap about parts and offered to remove them myself but he said all the cars were to service customers cars?

It was a great place but at the same time I felt a bit sad all these cars were just rusting away or being vandalised especially the real classics :(

I got the impression he may have been a bit eccentric but in a nice way -

Ive heard the place looks like a scrap yard but that he really knows his stuff, even with the real modern cars.

it's jaw dropping, especially when you see one of these at the back - arrgghhhh..

there were two of those finned models on in blue and i think the other was green, and to the right, as you go in a shell that looks in a sorry state but very very old.
if you got a chance to go round the corner you would have spotted a slk and a few other newbies

I bought my car from Albert Lock in 2005 and have had it serviced there ever since. He is such a nice bloke and his son works there with him, always providing great conversation while I am waiting for my couresy car, often one that's older than mine with even more miles on.

They can deal with all the modern stuff as well as the classics but I think I know where Albert's heart lies.

Due an MOT soon so I will be making another pilgrimage...

Cheers all

I got that by using my computer. I used a thing called Google. It allows you to look things up and get answers.
